About Me:

I am an Oklahoma born and bred sociologist who dabbled in psychology and social work before finding my true calling in sociology. I took a BA degree from San Francisco State University, and hold MSW and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Kentucky. My teaching interests include the sociology of the family, health and illness, social history, and multicultural themes. In addition to teaching sociology courses, I also teach in the Cultural Foundations area of the curriculum: The American Experience and American Dilemmas. For recreation, I like xeriscaping and camping.
